About: Mehran Islam joined the Department of NAOE as a lecturer in January 2019. Before joining BSMRMU, he was a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sonargaon University. He is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. He completed his Master of Science Degree in Thermal Power and Fluid Engineering from the University of Manchester. Apart from teaching, Mehran is involved in several research projects as well. He is a recipient of a research grant from the BSMRMU Postgraduate Research Management and Technology Transfer Centre to carry out experimental and numerical analysis of performance and energy efficiency improvement opportunities of transport refrigeration Vehicles in Bangladesh. Mehran's hobbies include reading and traveling. He has been to countries like the UK, China, Bhutan, etc.
