Call for Paper

IBBBS Journal (Volume-02, Issue-01)

1. The Institute of Bay of Bengal and Bangladesh Studies (IBBBS) of Bangladesh Maritime University (BMU), is pleased to announce the publication (Volume-02, Issue-01) of the IBBBS Journal. The IBBBS Journal is a blinded peer-reviewed publication. The IBBBS Journal aims to serve as a platform for scholarly discourse and knowledge dissemination on diverse topics related to the Bay of Bengal and Bangladesh region. IBBBS invites researchers, scholars, practitioners and academicians to contribute their original, unpublished and innovative research on the following research fields:   

 

• Research study related to the Bay of Bengal and Bangladesh region but not limited to. 

• Ocean science and blue economy

• Marine spatial planning 

• Regular data related to Bay of Bengal

• Climate change and disaster  

• Marine resources and biotechnology

• Fisheries resources & technology

• Marine pollution, biodiversity & ecosystem

• Photogrammetry, remote sensing and GIS 

• Mineral resources and renewable energy

• Bangladesh studies related to the institute’s objectives

 

2. For IBBBS Journal, the paper shall be in English (Standard British) typed on a standard A4 size paper. Letter font will be of Times New Roman, font size 12 points, title font size 14 points with bold and headings font size 12 points with bold. The paper shall have an abstract with maximum 200-250 words, (Font Times New Roman, size 12 points) and followed by keywords. 

The paper shall acknowledge all sources as references. The papers shall be submitted along with a signed copy of Copyright form and certificate regarding Plagiarism in specific format available in IBBBS, BMU website.  

 

3. The APA style (published in the Manual, 7th Edition/latest) shall be the writing and reference style of the paper for Journal. 

 

4. Submission Guidelines:

• Submissions should be made electronically via email to: ibbbsoffice@bmu.edu.bd  

• Paper must adhere to the journal's formatting guidelines.

• All submissions will undergo a rigorous blinded peer-review process to ensure high quality and relevance.

• Paper must be original and not under consideration for publication elsewhere simultaneously. 

 

5. Accepted paper will be published in the publication (Volume-02, Issue-01, June-2026) of the IBBBS Journal, which will be freely accessible online. 

 

6. Important Deadlines

 

Last date of manuscript submission: 15/03/2026

Acceptance/rejection notification: 21/04/2026

Expected publication date: 30/06/2026
