Project-4: IBBBS had a forth collaborative project with the STC Next, Netherlands titled “Greening Maritime Sector Bangladesh ” which was funded by RVO (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend or The Netherlands Enterprise Agency). The total Project fund was 35,000 euro. The project started was on 01 August 2024 and completed on 31 December 2024. The objectives of the project were to assess the prospects and challenges to the greening of the maritime sector or blue economy in Bangladesh and to assess the opportunities for maritime stakeholders from The Netherlands in efforts to green the maritime sector. The project focuses on the research of the fields of Port & Shipping, Renewable Energy, Maritime Education and Shipbuilding and Recycling. A report was prepared and presented in an  International webinar arranged by RVO, Netherlands.

Project-3: IBBBS had third collaborative project with the Nuffic, Netherlands titled Tailor-made training course on ‘Entrepreneurial ‘Blue economy’ Curriculum Development & Research Implementation’ which started on 01 July 2023 and ended on 31 May 2024. The project fund was 74,764.00 euro. The project consortium partners were STC next, CINOP Netherlands, BMU and BIMRAD Bangladesh. In this project, CBET was conducted, short course curriculum on ‘Essential perspective of Blue Economy’ was developed, ‘BBA in Port and Shipping Logistics’ and ‘Masters on Port and Shipping Management’ curricula were revised, a research work on ‘Evaluating Matarbari Deep Sea Port's Sustainability Roadmap: A Triple Bottom Line Approach’ was carried out and a seminar was arranged.

Project-2: IBBBS had second collaborative project with the Nuffic, Netherlands titled Nuffic OKP TMT+ Project - To strengthen Knowledge within the area of port and maritime development in Bangladesh  which was started from 1st January 2021 and finished on 31st March 2023. The project fund was 3,79,981.00 euro. The main beneficiary of the project was Bangladesh Navy and the stakeholders were CPA, MPA, PPA, BIWTA, BEC, BCG. BMU was one of the consortium partners along with IHE, CINOP, and STC Netherlands. Under this project 05 (five) training modules (Coastal Systems, Climate Change and Adaptation in Deltas, Strategic Plan for River Basins and Deltas, Cybersecurity and International Security in Ports, Maritime Economics and Logistics), 01 Competence Based Education Training (CBET) and Women Role Model training were conducted at BMU premises. There were two modules delivered in Netherlands for Bangladesh Navy and in total 75 participants participated in above mentioned courses.

Project-1: IBBBS had first collaboration with Nuffic, Netherlands to enhance capacity and institutional sustainability within the Bangladeshi maritime and port sector through the development of specialized knowledge and skills. BMU received a grant from Nuffic under OKP-BGD-103879, which was started from September 2019 and finished on 31st March 2023. The project fund was one million Euro. Under this project, 02 PhD opportunities were offered at IHE Delft. Besides, seven short course curricula and two undergraduate and master curricula were developed. Moreover, 03 thesis projects,  Moodle/ e-learning systems development, 4 webinars, and 01 international seminar were successfully completed. Additionally, 4 national and 03 International MoU were signed under this project. Moodle server was developed, and the Business Incubation Centre titled “Startup Blue” was established in the university.
