Overview of the Journal:
The Journal of Earth and Ocean Science (JEOS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes high-quality, original research articles, reviews, and case studies in the broad areas of Earth and Ocean sciences. It is the official journal published by Faculty of Earth and Ocean Science (FEOS), BSMR Maritime University, Bangladesh. JEOS is concerned with advancing the understanding of earth and ocean system, environmental processes, and dynamics from various aspects including physical, biological, chemical, geological oceanography as well as paleoceanography etc. This journal invites academics, researchers, industry professionals, policymakers, especially those interested in the broad spectrum of Earth and Ocean sciences.

- Oceanography: Physical, chemical, biological, geological, ocean circulation, and dynamics.
- Geology and Geophysics: Tectonics, seismology, mineralogy, sedimentology, petrology. and geochemistry.
- Climatology and Atmospheric Science: Climate change, meteorology, and atmospheric processes influencing Earth and ocean systems.
- Marine and Coastal Ecosystems: Biodiversity, marine ecology, conservation, and sustainable resource management.
- Environmental Science: Pollution, environmental change, and restoration efforts in marine and coastal ecosystems.
- Paleontology and Earth History: Fossils, stratigraphy, and Earth's evolutionary past.
- Hydrology and Water Resources: Groundwater systems, watershed hydrology, and hydrological modeling.
- Remote Sensing and GIS: Applications in Earth and ocean sciences for monitoring environmental processes and change.
- Natural Hazards and Risk Management: Earthquake, tsunami, coastal erosion, and other environment hazards.
Submission Guidelines:
- Submissions should be made electronically via email to: ce_jeos@bsmrmu.edu.bd
- Manuscripts must adhere to the journal's formatting guidelines.
- All submissions will undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure high quality and relevance.
- Manuscripts should be original and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Instructions for Authors:
- Manuscripts should be written in English.
- Include a cover page with the title of the manuscript, author(s) details, affiliations, and contact information.
- Follow the APA-7 style guidelines for formatting and referencing.
- The abstract should be a total of about 250 words maximum. The abstract should be a single paragraph.
- Three to seven pertinent keywords need to be added after the abstract. We recommend that the keywords are specific to the article, yet reasonably common within the subject discipline.
- Figures, tables, and supplementary materials should be submitted as separate files.
