Bangladesh Maritime University

The Maritime University Law and Moot Court Society (MULMCS) is the official academic and co-curricular organisation representing the law students of the university. Established in 2024, the Society was founded with the vision of promoting legal excellence, advocacy, leadership and professional development among students while fostering a culture of academic integrity and collaboration.

Since its inception, the Society has served as a platform for aspiring legal professionals to develop practical legal skills beyond the classroom. It is committed to nurturing competent, ethical, and socially responsible law graduates through advocacy, research, public speaking, legal writing, and community engagement.

The Society regularly organises a wide range of academic and professional development programmes, including:

• Moot Court Competitions (Intra and National)
• Mooting Workshops and Training Sessions
• Legal Research and Writing Workshops
• Legal Aid and Community Outreach Programmes
• Career Development Sessions and Networking Events
• National and International Competition Participation

Over the years, the Society has earned recognition through its commitment to academic excellence and advocacy. Some notable achievements include:

• Best Oralist- UAP National Moot Court Compettition-2024

The Society operates through an Executive Committee led by elected student leaders under the guidance of faculty advisors. The committee consists of:

• General Secretary
• Joint Secretary
• Treasurer
• Executive Members
• Various Secretaries responsible for administration, mooting, research, media and publications, events, communications, and other functional wings.

Each committee member works collaboratively to ensure the effective planning and execution of the Society's academic and extracurricular activities.
