Department of Student Counselling and Guidance

The Department of Student Counselling and Guidance of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University is committed to offering free counselling services primarily to students studying at the university. Nonetheless, the services are also open to faculty members, officers, and staffs.

The department addresses the emotional well-being-related issues of the students and serves as a primary mental healthcare unit by providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and if necessary, advice for further referrals. Any of our students facing any kind of mental health problem, are free to book appointments and seek assistance from the counsellors. For appointments, current students can self-refer, or be referred via faculty, family, and other BSMRMU students by mailing their requests to counsellingofficer@bsmrmu.edu.bd  with the full name, student ID, an email address and a valid phone number.
