About: Emranul Hoque is an assistant professor at the Department of Accounting & Information Systems (AIS) at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University (BSMRMU), Bangladesh under the Faculty of Maritime Business Studies (FMBS). Before joining BSMRMU, he worked with Nurul Faruk Hasan & Co (Chartered Accountants) a member firm of Deloitte in Bangladesh since the middle of 2018 as an Articled Student. He is a partly-qualified chartered accountant under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) who passed 10 out of 17 subjects. During his tenure at Deloitte Bangladesh, he worked with business promotion and consultancy services under Business Consulting Services (BCS). As an Audit Senior, he engaged in multiple statutory and special-purpose audits of different multinational companies (MNCs). Currently, he is working as a researcher on different consortium projects on sustainability and greening in the maritime sectors of Bangladesh.
