About: Emranul Hoque is a Lecturer at the Department of Accounting & Information Systems (AIS) at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University (BSMRMU), Bangladesh under the Faculty of Maritime Business Studies (FMBS). Before joining BSMRMU, he worked with Nurul Faruk Hasan & Co (Chartered Accountants) a member firm of Deloitte in Bangladesh since the middle of 2018 as an Articled Student. He is a partly-qualified chartered accountant under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) who passed 10 subjects out of 17 subjects. During his tenure at Deloitte Bangladesh, he worked with business promotion and consultancy services under Business Consulting Services (BCS) and engaged in multiple statutory audits and special purpose audits of different multinational companies (MNCs) as an Audit Senior. Currently, he is working researcher on a consortium project on sustainability assessment of the Matarbari Deep Sea Port funded by Nuffic, Netherlands, and supported by STCNext. He extended this study on the selection of appropriate hinterland connectivity for the Matarbari Deep Sea Port.
