A delegation of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University, Bangladesh led by the Vice-Chancellor Rear Admiral Mohammad Musa paid homage to the Father of the Nation by placing floral wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in Dhaka's Dhanmondi to observe 48^th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu and National Mourning Day-2023. After placing the floral wreath, the team stood there in solemn silence for some time to show their deepest respect for the great leader.

Documentary screening and Book display on the life of Father of the Nation along with Competition on Photo exhibition, quiz, essay and poem recitation by students were also organized at the university. The Vice-Chancellor of the University graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Faculty members, Officers, Students and Staffs of the university were present. Prizes were distributed among the winners of Photo exhibition, quiz, essay and poem recitation competition.

A Special prayer was offered for the eternal peace of Bangabandhu and other members of his family martyred on August 15, 1975.
